Build Over Sewer (BOS) or Build Over
Stormwater (BOSW)

In some cases, Council’s may permit a building to be constructed over sewer mains. This is referred to as Build Over Sewer (BOS).
Prior to this type of work being carried out, a CCTV camera inspection must be conducted to record the condition of the pipe prior to construction. Following the completion of the construction works, the pipe must be CCTV’d once more to ensure no damage was caused to the sewer main during the process. The Council specifically requires a pan, tilt and zoom camera to be used to carry out the CCTV inspection. A report is issued and must be provided in a WinCan software format.
